Work From Home Artisan Jobs Artisan Miniatures

If you’re nimble with your fingers and have good eyesight, then maybe making doll house miniatures is the home assembly job that’ll catch your eye!  This type of work from home artisan jobs have taken off in recent years, with people keen on crafting, or with craft skills, keen to earn an income from this enjoyable work

Now called Artisan Miniatures, they make and sell handcrafted dollhouse miniatures, collectibles, miniature cars and more in the US. They use home assembly workers to assemble their products from home.

Their website states: “Artisan Miniatures makes doll house miniatures products that are mostly 1/12-scale using home assemblers just like you to manufacture our products. “

Fees: They do charge a fee up front, which they explain on their page. The way they operate is you buy a kit, assemble the kit and send it back to them and you’re paid on output, piece work.

Tiny Details /Artisan Miniatures buys the things you make. You can work at home at any time of the day or night. You are paid for what you produce. There is no limit to the number of kits you can have, there is no limit to the amount you can make.

Here is a simple explanation of how home assembly for Tiny Details works: You choose a product that fits you from their product list, you send them a $55 deposit for the materials, TinyDetails sends you a kit that contains everything you need to make a set of the product you picked, you assemble a set of the product, you send the completed set of the product back to them, they send you back your $55 deposit PLUS the product price ($50 to $200) PLUS your postage for sending the product to them.

This type of home assembly work doesn’t suit everybody and your standards must be high. I don’t make these miniatures as I’m not in the US and don’t have the crafting skills!

Want to Start Your Own Miniatures Business?

If you’re unsure, or if you don’t live in the US, if this isn’t quite for you, then you could start your own miniatures business by buying kits on ebay and assembling them yourself and finding your own market for them – the miniatures market is quite lucrative with collectors paying good money for well chosen pieces. Or, if you’re unsure, then why not try a kit, see how you get on before taking the idea forward.
